I fashion myself as a bit of a tinkerer and have a passion for building things. Woodworking and writing are my two 'go-tos' when it comes to scratching that creative itch to make something with my own two hands. Oddly enough, I've found that writing a good story involves the same mental faculties as building a wooden shelf. You start with your vision of how you want it to look and then deliberately plan your creation from there.
